The Science

As part of Equine America’s core values, it is important to us that our supplements are evidence-based and backed by science. The Vet Range has been formulated by our experienced nutritionists and equine Veterinary Surgeons, who have completed the research and development for you, so you can be confident in evidence-based nutrition. We pride ourselves in being transparent with our ingredients and nutrient levels, ensuring we meet our label claims, and you can be sure you know exactly what you are feeding in every serving.

The carefully researched levels of key nutrients and ingredients included in the Vet Range are specifically designed to complement veterinary advice and treatment alongside most typical equine diets. The importance of good quality forage and a balanced concentrate feed (if required) in the health, welfare, performance and behaviour of horses and ponies has long been recognised, and our supplements are safe to feed in conjunction with most typical equine diets. We know that the physical challenges from intense training and competition programmes, as well as modern horse keeping regimes can result in an increased need for nutritional support. In addition, we recognise that a ‘one size fits all’ approach to feeding does not always give the desired response. This is why our supplements provide targeted nutrition, to complement veterinary treatment and support performance and recovery from injury or illness, as well as the maintenance of health and wellbeing.

If you want to know more about the science, including the research and evidence behind our products please just ask – our technical team of experienced nutritionists and Veterinary Surgeons are here to help and happy to provide references if required:
