CortaVet Solution provides vet strength levels of key chondroprotective ingredients, as well as support for the horses’ anti-inflammatory processes, soft tissues (tendons and ligaments) and muscles.

Targeted at joints under stress from hard work or competition, as well those older horses with significant wear and tear.

Further information on the ingredients:

• Boswellia serrata provides powerful plant-based support for the horses’ own anti-inflammatory systems, as well as antioxidants and other important phytochemicals to support joint health and comfort. The Boswellic Acids, in particular, AKBA (Acetyl-11-keto-β-boswellic acid) have been shown to support the horse's own anti-inflammatory processes, helping to maintain performance and comfort. CortaVet Solution provides an industry leading 78% AKBA (3-O-acytyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid).

• MSM is a powerful antioxidant that helps support the horses’ own anti-inflammatory processes, as well as a bioavailable source of organic sulphur, which is a vital component of key amino acids and vitamins.Sulphur also has an important role in collagen synthesis. Collagen is a major component of connective tissue such as ligaments and tendons and cartilage.
  MSM is permitted under FEI rules (2024). In August 2022, British Horse Racing released an update to the rules of racing and listed MSM as a threshold substance with a residue limit of 1200 micrograms per litre in urine.

• Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a key glycosaminoglycan (GAG) and helps to maintain the viscosity and elastic shock-absorbing properties of joint fluid, playing a vital role in joint health. HA is provided in the high molecular weight form.

• Collagen, provided from a sustainable and ethical marine source, supports the cartilage as well as the soft tissues (tendons and ligaments).

• Key amino acids including glutamic acid, L-glutamine and glycine, providing the building blocks for the production of aminao sugars such as glucosamine, which is a structural subunit in the production of other glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) which bind to the collagen matrix to help maintain strong and functional cartilage.

• Trace minerals Manganese, Copper and Silicon all play important roles in the production of structural compounds such as chondroitin, as well as in the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. Manganese and copper are supplied using organic sources (chelates) for optimum bioavailability. Silicon is provided from natural diatomaceous earth.

• Vitamins C and B6 both play roles in supporting the production of chondro-protective compounds. Vitamin C is a key antioxidant vitamin, that also plays a role in collagen production.

• In a highly palatable liquid formulation, easily mixed in feed.

Sensory additives: 2b Boswellia serrata extract 4,000mg, 2b Permitted Flavouring  (Cherry) 5,000mg.

Technological additives: E415 Xanthan Gum 4000mg.

Preservatives: E202 Potassium Sorbate 5,000mg.

Binders: E551a Monosilicic Acid (dried and precipitated) (silicon source) 2,083mg,

Directions For Use

500kg horse: in work: feed 30ml per day.  May be increased to 60ml per day during periods of intense exercise or joint stress, under Veterinary guidance. May be reduced to 15ml daily for maintenance or light work. Maximum daily intake: 60ml.
