Formulated to support the whole digestive system from stomach to hindgut, with a unique multi-action approach:

Key Ingredients:

Combination of Hyaluronic Acid and Beta Glucans, as backed by the latest research. Hyaluronic acid helps to coat the stomach lining and support mucosal health. Beta Glucans support the immune response and help with stress management, and overall gut health.

Maerl (marine algal source of slow-release Calcium and Magnesium), to support acid ease and a healthy gastric pH. The slow release and bioavailable source of Calcium from Maerl, has been shown to be particularly important for those horses undergoing treatment with omeprazole.

Postbiotics are a microbial fermentate, which is composed of hundreds of bioactive compounds. These bioactives work synergistically with the biology of the horse to support health and performance. Postbiotics include beneficial compounds such as mannan-oligosaccharide (MOS) and beta-glucans, as well as hundreds of functional metabolites including: phytosterols, organic acids, antioxidants (polyphenols), nucleotides, peptides, proteins, vitamins, trace minerals, carbohydrates, phospholipids, oligosaccharides and short-chain fatty acids.

The postbiotic included in Opti-Biome has published, peer-reviewed research to support its use in the horse.

With the live yeast Probiotic Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Probiotics benefit the horse by:

o   Helping fibre digestion, the yeast helps to pull the fibre particle apart. This enables the fibre digesting bacteria to colonize and digest the fibre more readily, producing volatile fatty acids (VFA’s) which are a vital energy source for the horse.

o   Scavenging pockets of oxygen in the gut, which would otherwise be toxic to many of the beneficial microbes.

o   Outcompeting the lactic acid producing microbes and encouraging the growth of those which can use lactic acid, thus helping to reduce the likelihood of a drop in hindgut pH which can disrupt the delicate balance in the microbiome.

Dual Prebiotics, from Fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS), as well as the new Mannan Rich-Fraction (MRF).

Fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS), unlike most carbohydrates, these FOSs are largely unaffected by stomach acid, and other digestive enzymes, but instead, they are selectively fermented by many of the beneficial bacteria in the hindgut. Directions for Use

For horses and ponies: 100g (2 scoops) per day, ideally divided into 2-3 feeds.

Do not exceed recommended intake unless under Veterinary advice.

50g (approx.) scoop enclosed. We recommend calibrating the scoop yourself on first use to ensure that 1 level scoop weighs 50g approximately.
